Directors

Charito Quintero-​Howard, MD
Medical Director​

Dr Quintero-Howard completed her General Psychiatry residency training at the University of Maryland, and she completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Iowa. She is a dual ABPN Board Certified Psychiatrist in both General Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. She is a former Johns Hopkins University faculty member, and she has also served as a psychiatrist at Franklin Square and GBMC. Dr. Quintero-Howard has over 20 years of experience, and she has worked in a variety of in-patient, out-patient, and school-based settings. She has experience treating individuals, of nearly all ages, who are experiencing a wide range of developmental, behavioral, cognitive, mood, psychotic, and anxiety disorders. She has extensive experience in Outpatient & School-based programs, as well as in comprehensive scientific psychiatric evaluations. Dr. Quintero-Howard is fluent in Tagalog (Filipino) as well as English. She also finished a residency in Neurology and Psychiatry in the Philippines.

Raji Ramachandran, LCPC
Program Director

She received her Bachelor and Masters Degree from Adelphi University in New York and got her Post Master's Education at Loyola University in Maryland. She worked in multiple OMHCs, as well as in correctional environments and substance abuse clinics. Her initial training to be a counselor started in 2002 with peer counseling while in school. She received her initial license to practice in 2007 and trained intensely for 7 years as an LGPC before getting her LCPC license in 2014.

She is a certified clinical trauma professional (CCTP), certified clinical anxiety treatment professional (CCATP) and can supervise LGPCs, LGMFTs and LGADCs. She has an eclectic approach to treatment, using multiple modalities to fit each client's specific needs.

Elizabeth Turin, MD

Child and Adult Psychiatrist

Dr. Turin is originally from Peru. She is a dual board certified both in Child and Adult Psychiatry. She had vast training in New York where she did her residency. She had worked at Kennedy Krieger and Villa Maria. She had been with Child and Adult Psychiatry for several years and she loves treating and helping people. She is fluent both in Spanish and English.  





Moses Ikejiofor, CRNP-PMH, DNP

Moses Ikejiofor, CRNP PMH, DNP has finished his Doctorate Degree in Nursing.  His professional development journey began 25 years ago when he earned a baccalaureate degree in Accounting with honors, overseas. Immigrating into the US 21 years ago provided him a vantage point, a road map to hone his aspiration in pursuit of a vision for healthcare. He earned a second baccalaureate degree in Nursing from the University of Maryland in 2004 and obtained a master’s degree in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Walden University in 2019. His inspiration is driven by his philosophy of the primacy of the quality of life and the inalienability of good health. He served patients from varying socioeconomic and socio cultural backgrounds across the life span in various roles and capacities in direct care and management. Today, as a psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner, he has the honor and privilege to serve our noble and respected children and adults across the life span to make a positive difference in their psychological, mental, and psychiatric health needs.

Kwabena Owusu, CRNP-PMH

Kwabena Owusu, CRNP-PMH is a father of three children. He has been a nurse since 2004 and went to Bowie State University for his Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. He has worked in various hospitals and nursing homes in caring for the sick and people with medical problems. He found the need to pursue his studies in mental health and went to Walden University for MSN program in psychiatry as a nurse practitioner from (2017-2019). He is currently working as CRNP-PMH in Child and Adult Psychiatry, LLC at two locations in Towson and Joppa town, MD. He is dedicated and devoted person who has a compassionate care for people and has the desire to work with people with mental health issues in their diagnosis and treatment.

Shanshan He, CRNP-PMH

Shan Shan He is a dedicated psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University and a Master of Nursing specializing in Psychiatry Mental Health from Mrayville University.  Shan Shan has 8 years of professional nursing experience working with patients in surgical centers, critical care, and behavioral health at Johns Hopkins Hospital.   

Shan Shan aims to provide a holistic, compassionate, and patient-centered approach that actively engages with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans that cater to individual needs.  She is a devoted provider focused on making a positive impact on individuals struggling with various mental health challenges.  She was a health nurse practitioner at George Washington University in 2022. She uses a holistic approach to inspire hope and help others create meaningful changes in their lives.

Wendy Bu​ck , LCSW

Psycotherapist

Wendy Buck has been a social worker for over 30 years. She believes in person-centered, goal-oriented, care to help patients not just live with mental illness but be able to thrive. Wendy has a lot of experience with depression, bipolar disorder, women's issues, and anxiety. She was born and raised in Maryland and also runs her own practice in Baltimore as well.

Jade Burns, LCPC

Psychotherapist 

Jade Burns is a licensed professional counselor with three years of experience in this field. She has a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Baltimore. She has experience in working with diverse populations of all ages. She has an immense background working with children and their families, not just as a counselor, but also as a teacher. Her approach to counseling is to meet clients where they are and utilize a variety of therapeutic interventions to meet individual needs. She is a firm believer in mindfulness and meditation which is something she shares regularly with clients. She strives to create a safe, non-judgmental space for her clients to share their stories and be heard.

Brené Brown said, “Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen.” Having the courage to reach out and ask for help takes a lot of strength. Together you can navigate the challenges you may give and collaborate to create a more meaningful life. All it takes is one small moment of courage and you can begin your journey together. 

Shutic Coates, LMSW

Psychotherapist 

Shutic Coates, LMSW Licensed Master Psychotherapist. She provides individual and family therapy services to children, teens, and adults. She has always been a very compassionate person and loves to help others. She wants to be there for others so that they know they are never alone. She creates a nonjudgmental space where you can explore and experiment with new solutions. She has a strong passion for working with college-age adults and teens struggling with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship struggles, life transitions, grief, and trauma. She uses a person-centered, CBT, and mindfulness approach to therapy focusing on acceptance, support, challenging negative thought patterns, problem-solving & development of healthy outlets.



Danielle Hawthorne​

Psychotherapist 

Danielle Hawthorne is a licensed graduate social worker.  She is a graduate of the University of Maryland, School of Social Work and has years of experience connecting individuals and families to resources/ services within the community.   The focus of her practice is uplifting individuals to overcome obstacles with their own strength, which they may overlook or not know, using a comprehensive, holistic approach for healthier well-being.  

Life can be difficult at times, right? But who says we have to go through those times alone?  I know talking to your friends or parents might help for a second but you might not even feel comfortable sharing with anyone what you are going through.   Seeking therapy to assist you on your journey to coping and healing is a big step, so applaud yourself for taking this initiative. 

She's here to help you on that journey, whatever stage you might be in.  She provides individual and family counseling for adolescents and young adults using person-centered, solution-focused, strength-based, and cognitive behavioral therapy.   She makes it a priority to provide a safe space where clients feel understood and comfortable to express their feelings or concerns.  

No one knows you better than yourself, so you can work together to find your triggers and establish adequate coping skills to eliminate these rough patches.   With her optimistic outlook and encouraging spirit, together you can make life easier and get you back on track.

Jeryl Cuyugan

PRP Counselor

Jeryl Cuyugan is easygoing and passionate about everything that he does.  He has a bachelor's degree in Information Technology and is a Culinary Arts Graduate.   He is techy and cooking is his passion.  He also loves working with people and helping patients.

Nenita Quintero

Executive Manager

Nenet Quintero has worked in sales for over 30 years before starting in mental health in 2017. She is very people oriented and believes the saying "No man is an island, we need each other to to survive this challenging world and that's the support we provide here at our clinic." In her free time she enjoys spending time eating dinner with her family and watching her favorite tv shows.

Whielene Esguerra

PRP Counselor 

Whielene Esguerra came from the humble streets of Manila, Philippines.   She grew up in full awareness of the effects of poverty in the community and the need for medical "nobility".  These led her to pursue a career in the field of Medicine.  She earned her bachelor's and graduate degrees from the University of Santo Tomas.  She finished her internship at a local government hospital and then worked in a renowned pediatric hospital in Manila as a resident before migrating here.   

Upon arrival in the US, she decided to put her career on hold placing her family first as her top priority.   She previously worked in a renowned hospital in Baltimore as a neurophysiologist.   

If she is not working, you'll find her in the kitchen cooking, in the garage doing personalized stuff, or in a room reading and writing.  

Franco Alejandrino

Billing Manager

Franco Alejandrino has worked in mental health for over 8 years. He believes in the importance of mental health care in the community because a person's mental state greatly affects their daily lives and he likes to be part of the healing process. In his free time, he enjoys going to the gym, trying new cuisine, watching movies, and traveling with friends. 



Marissa Quintero

Administration

Marissa V. Quintero works part-time helping in Child and Adult Psychiatry. She is a graduate of International Studies. She finds meaning in helping promote the well-being of patients. She has experience helping people, especially the elderly by giving them activities to make their lives more meaningful.  She loves music and nature.

Marianne Howard has a bachelor's degree in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. She leads group PRP sessions for clients, and also sees people for individual sessions. She is available to help you manage your goals, productivity, time management, communication and social skills. She is ready to help you build a routine, handle interpersonal conflicts, and assist you in meeting your everyday and long-term goals! Whether you need help filling out your disability application, calling your doctors to schedule appointments, or organizational advice in managing life's overwhelming stress, a caseworker can help take off some of the stress from thinking you have to do it all yourself!

Sasha Howard

Administration/ PRP Staff

​​Sasha Howard has a bachelor's degree from University of Maryland Smith School for marketing. She has an interest in improving and managing the practice to grow and be of service to the community. She loves arts and photography.
